NORBERT P. HOELTKE

Norbert P. Hoeltke, 60, died Saturday in Sun City West, Ariz. He was a resident of Franklin.

He was born July 9, 1930 to Alvin Hoeltke and Viola (Armuth) Hoeltke. His mother survives and resides in Edinburgh. He married Alice (Wheaton) Hoeltke Sept. 9, 1951. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Dawn McCracken of Geneva, Switzerland and Susan Hoeltke-Ward of Garwood, N.J. and a brother, George Hoeltke of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Corrine Thompson.

He graduated from Mount Auburn High School in 1948 and Purdue University School of Agriculture in 1952. He was a professional farm manager with Halderman Farm Management Service Inc. since June 2, 1952. He also was a licensed real estate salesman in the state.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1953 to 1955.

He was a member of the Indiana Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, an associate member of the A.S.F.M.R.A., Purdue Alumni Association, B.P.O.E. Lodge 1818, Franklin American Legion and the Franklin First Presbyterian Church where he served as deacon, elder and trustee. He also was a Kentucky Colonel.

He served as director of Franklin Bank & Trust Co. for 20 years. He was a member of the advisory board of Ameritrust Bank in Johnson County at the time of his death.

The Rev. James M. Shaffer will conduct a service Friday at 1 p.m. at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
