Willan Hibbs Dies This Morning
Willan Hibbs, native of Nineveh but long-time resident of Edinburg, died this morning at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital.
He had broken a hip ten days ago.
Mr. Hibbs who would have been 74 on April 19, was the son of James and Sarah Hibbs, born in 1887.
He was married in 1910 to Elnora Davis who survives. A son, Robert Hibbs, preceded in death in 1945.
Also surviving are three sisters all of Indianapolis, Mrs. Addie Hallam, Mrs. Emma Stuck, and Mrs. Mary Smitha; a brother, Frank Hibbs of Gary.
For many years Mr. Hibbs was a fireman at Amos Saw Mill and was employed at Camp Atterbury before his retirement.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the residence at 502 south Pleasant. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence after 2:00 Wednesday.
