WILLIAM HIBBS DIES
AT DAUGHTER’S HOME
EDINBURG, Sept. 11.—Word has been received in Edinburg of the death of William[sic] Hibbs, who passed away Wednesday morning at 4:15 o’clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Roy Smitha, 415 Irving Place, in Indianapolis.
Mr. Hibbs was a former resident of Edinburg. He had gone to the home of his daughter two weeks ago because of his failing health. Funeral arrangements have not been made. Burial will be in Rest Haven cemetery.

Funeral For Former Edinburg
Resident Will be Conducted

EDINBURG, Sept. 12. — Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Farr and Gosney Funeral Home for James B. Hibbs, 80 years old, who passed away early Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Smitha, in Indianapolis. Rev. Glenn O. Mills will conduct the services.
Mr. Hibbs, a former resident of Edinburg, was born at Nineveh Sept. 5, 1855, the son of Ambrose and Abigail Woodruff Hibbs. He was married Nov. 5, 1879 to Miss Sarah D. Burgett. Three sons and three daughters were born to this union, all of whom survive.
Surviving him are the sons, Rolla Hibbs of Indianapolis; Frank Hibbs of Gary and William Hibbs of Edinburg; the three daughters, Mrs. John Haslam of Edinburg; Mrs. Roy Smitha and Mrs. John P. Stuck of Indianapolis; two granddaughters and other relatives.
Burial will be made in Rest Haven cemetery.
