EDINBURG
WALTER G. HENRY
Failing in health for approximately eight years, Walter G. Henry, died at his home north of Edinburg on U.S. 31 Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o’clock.
Funeral services have been set for 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon and will be in the Mutz Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Rustemeyer, pastor of the Edinburg Christian Church is to be in charge at the services and burial will take place in Garland Brook Cemetery at Columbus.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time after 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and until time for the services. They are invited to attend the rites.
The family has asked donations be made to the March of Dimes or the Crippled Childrens Fund in lieu of flowers.
The son of Clarence and Nancy Jane Brand Henry, Mr. Henry was born in Bartholomew County on June 14, 1893.
On Aug. 5, 1916, he and the former Etta Goetz were married and an infant son died in 1923.
Mr. Henry had been a farmer before his retirement. He was a member of the East Columbus Church of Christ.
The widow survives with a foster son, Harry Hines, of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. Estella Dye, of Columbus; and a brother, Jesse Henry, of Edinburg.
Two brothers, Hort and Scott, preceded Mr. Henry in death.
