  Josephine B. Henderson, 84, died
Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Porter
Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso.
She was a resident of Michigan City
and a former resident of Edinburgh.
  She was born June 24, 1916, in
Johnson County. Her parents were
Roy and Florence (Hill) Barker. She
married Clyde Henderson on Aug. 9,
1941. He preceded her in death Nov.
17, 1989. Survivors include a
daughter, Jennifer Hardwick of
Michigan City; and two sisters, Ada
Mae Carter of Tipton and Mildred L.
Schrader of Indianapolis.
  She was employed by Danner Brothers
5 and 10 as a sales clerk.
  She was a member of First Church of
the Nazarene in Valparaiso.
  The Rev. Gene Tanner will conduct a
service at 1:30 p.m. Friday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in
Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. today at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery.
  Memorial contributions may be made
to the American Heart Association,
American Diabetes Association,
Gideon’s or church of choice.

and Florence (Hill) Barker. She
married Clyde Henderson on Aug. 9,
1941, and he preceded her in death
on Nov. 17, 1989.
  Mrs. Henderson was a former
resident of Edinburgh and sales
clerk for the Danners store,
Edinburgh.
  She was a member of First Church of
the Nazarene, Valparaiso.
  Survivors include one daughter,
Jennifer Hardwick, Michigan City,
former Shelby County resident; and
two sisters, Ada Mae Carter,
Tipton, and Mildred L. Schrader,
Indianapolis.
  Funeral services will be at 1:30
p.m. Friday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home, Edinburgh, with the Rev. Gene
Tanner officiating.
  Burial will be in Rest Haven
Cemetery, Edinburgh.
