EDINBURGH —Charles W. Henderson, 46, 701 S. Holland in Edinburgh, died at 9:40 a.m. Thursday at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been ill 14 months.
A member of Edinburgh United Methodist Church and American Legion, Henderson was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict and was active in civic affairs. He was employed as a mold maker at Custom Castings in Franklin.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Edinburgh United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lawrence Tedrow and the Rev. David Bremer. Persons may call today at Eskew Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Henderson was born June 10, 1932 in Johnson County to Widdess Henderson Jr. and Bernice Robbins Henderson, who survive. April 29, 1956, he married Janell Wirey, who survives.
Other survivors include two children, Mark and Becky Henderson, both at home, and two brothers, James E. Henderson of Franklin and Phillip D. Henderson of Edinburgh.
