EDINBURGH — Earl Hazelwood, 45, Edinburgh resident, died unexpectedly Wednesday night in Tulsa, Okla. He was an independent truck driver.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Eskew Funeral Home in Edinburgh by the Rev. Lawrence Tedrow. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Persons may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Hazelwood was born Nov. 11, 1931, at Waynesville, Ohio, the son of Charles Emmons and Emma May Burnell Hazelwood.
Survivors include the mother, Emma May Cook of Prince’s Lake; six children, Wayne, Lloyd, Charlotte and Stephanie Hazelwood, all of Edinburgh and Alvin Dale Hazelwood and Teresa Toler, both of Eustis, Fla.; four brothers, Gene Hazelwood of Trafalgar, Harry Hazelwood of California, Vearl Hazelwood of Alabama and Major Hazelwood of Florida; seven sisters, Viola Parks of Seattle, Wash., Margaret Sheets of Lebanon, Ohio, Mary Emma Christman of California, Grace Marie Lee of Florida, Naomi Roberts of Marietta, Ohio, and Maudalene Carpenter and Clara Lewis, both of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald, and a brother, Lloyd.
