Robert Harrod dies Friday
Robert Harrod, 70, died Friday in Bartholomew County.
Born June 28, 1908 in Edinburgh, Harrod was the son of Rutherford B. and Hattie G. Ziegner Harrod. In 1962 he married Irene Freese and she survives.
Harrod was a member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge No. 100.
Services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at Eskew Funeral Home in Edinburgh. A Masonic Service will also be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday and burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Harrod; one son, Allan R. Harrod, Rosemont, Penn.; two brothers, Dale Harrod, Edinburgh, Eugene Harrod, Indianapolis; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Monday at 1:0 at Eskew Funeral Home for Robert Harrod, 70, Edinburgh, who died unexpectedly Friday afternoon about 1:00 p.m. at the Double Y Saddle Club.
Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Harrod, a retired electrician, was born June 28, 1908, in Edinburgh the son of Rutherford B. and Hattie Zeigner Harrod. He married Irene Freese July 28, 1962, and she survives. Harrod was an Edinburgh High School graduate. He was a member of the Edinburgh United Methodist Church and Edinburgh Masonic Lodge and Masonic services were held at the Funeral Home Sunday evening. The deceased had lived in Michigan City before returning to Edinburgh.
Other survivors include a son, Allan R. Harrod of Rosemont, Pa., two brothers, Dale Harrod of Edinburgh and Eugene Harrod of Indianapolis; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The Rev. Lawrence Tedrow conducted the services.
Serving as pallbearers were Dwight Beal, Richard Neville, Everett Streeval, Larry Martin, Glen Owens, and Kenneth Boucher.
