EDINBURGH — Clarence P. "Flunk" Hardin, 83, of Edinburgh, died Wednesday at his home He was a 60-year member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge, Hardin was a 1926 graduate of Edinburgh High School and attended Shurtless College in Alton, Ill. He was manager of Blue River Products in Edinburgh for 26 years, retiring in 1965 and was a farmer.
Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. George Eagler at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, where calling will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. A Masonic memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Born Jan. 16, 1907, in Johnson County, Hardin was the son of William and Myrtle East Hardin. He was married to Evea Mae Smyser on Feb. 15, 1930. She died in 1985.
Surviving are a son, Hugh R. Hardin of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Leo Hardin; a brother, Owen Hardin; and sisters, May Lowery and Hettie Parsons.
