Nicolas William Habicht Nicolas William Habicht, 20, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Greenwood. He was born June 11, 1983, in Beech Grove. His parents are Marvin and Mary Lou (Smith) Habicht of Greenwood. Other survivors include maternal grandparents, William and Elsie Smith of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Esther Habicht of Indianapolis; a sister, Malia Casper of Greenwood; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a cousin, Todd Smith, in 1987. He was a 2002 Center Grove High School graduate, where he was on the basketball team for two years. He was attending Indiana University. He changed his major from business to chemistry and had just completed his sophomore year, which he was following up with summer school to graduate in four years. Upon graduation from IU, he was going to pursue a degree in pharmacy at Butler University. He was a member of Sigma Pi fraternity and was active on the Sigma Pi intramural basketball league. He attended New Hope Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Greg Ponchot will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Church at Stones Crossing, 7000 W. Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at G.H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
