CAROLINE (LUTZ) GRUBBS
Caroline (Lutz) Grubbs, 93, died Monday, July 26, 2004, in Greenwood. She was a resident of New Whiteland and a former resident of Westfield.
She was born Dec. 31, 1910, in Staten Island, N.Y. She married Lawrence Peter Grubbs on Nov. 4, 1931. He preceded her in death in September 1998. Survivors include a son, Lawrence W. Grubbs of Linton; three grandchildren, Christina L. Wells of New Whiteland, Lawrence W. Grubbs Jr. of Mooresville and Maurice K. Grubbs of Linton; 10 great-grandchildren; one nephew; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul and Max Ludwig and Bill Lutz; and three sisters, Emilia Parker, Emma Scholl and Anna Marie Andersen.
She graduated from Port Richmond High School in Staten Island, N.Y.
She was employed by Pickett’s Cafeteria and Marlow’s Cafe in Westfield. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at McMullan Funeral Home, 133 E. Main St. in Westfield. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Carmel Cemetery.
