Evelyn R. Griffith Evelyn R. Griffith, 78, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at Beverly Health Care. She was a resident of Fairland. She was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Cross Plains. Her parents were Paul R. and Nora (Hawkins) Fuehrer. She married Donald Griffith on June 17, 1951. He survives. Other survivors include five brothers, Emmett Fuehrer, Reece Fuehrer and Clifton Fuehrer, all of Danville, Lee Fuehrer of Indianapolis and Danny Fuehrer of Tennessee; two sisters, Pauline Macal of Minn and Lina Henderson of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Max and Earl Fuehrer; and a sister, Viola Fuehrer. She was a homemaker. She had been employed by L.S. Ayres as a seamstress. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where she taught the adult Sunday school class for 17 years. The Rev. Ann Hutchins-Case will conduct a service at 2 p.m. today at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
