Ex-Trustee, Dies
Harold W. Grass, a former Harrison township trustee in Morgan county, died suddenly at his home in Waverley at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He was 42 years old.
A resident of Waverly his entire life, he was employed by the Grocery Supply Co. of Indianapolis since 1946. He died shortly after returning home from work.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Waverly Methodist church with the Rev. W. W. Wigner officiating. The Vandivier - Parsley Funeral Home will be in charge. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Mr. Grass operated a grocery store in Waverly. He had also been employed by Allison division of General Motors, prior to his employment with the Grocery Supply Co.
Center Grove Graduate
A graduate of Center Grove High School in the class of 1934, he served as trustee of Harrison township in Morgan county for four years.
He was a member of the Waverly Methodist church, the Masonic lodge, and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include the parents, Clyde R. and Carrie Hildebrand Grass, the widow, Mrs. Pauline McMillin Grass, and a son, David.
Others surviving are four brothers, Chauncey, of Mooresvile[sic], Ora, of Waverly, Hoyt, of Martinsville, Clyde, Jr., of Waverly, a sister Freida Mae Richardson, of Greenwood, and 14 nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home anytime after 2 p.m. Saturday until noon Monday.
