Arvin E. Graham 
  Arvin E. Graham, 78, died Tuesday,
Dec. 12, 2000, at Todd-Aikens
Health Care Center in Franklin.  He
was a resident of Edinburgh.
  He was born July 7, 1922, in
Edinburgh.  His parents were
William Thomas and Maudie (Bueche)
Graham.  He married Wanda
(Brownfield) Graham on Dec. 15,
1947.  She preceded him in death
July 28, 1987.  Survivors include a
son, Danny L. Graham of
Greencastle; two brothers, Orville
M. Graham of Edinburgh and Roy
Donald Graham of Franklin; and two
grandsons.  He was preceded in
death by a brother, William Thomas
Graham Jr.
  He was employed for 32 years by
Con-Rail, previously Penn Central
and Pennsylvania Railroad, as a
conductor.
  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II, receiving a Bronze Star and
a Purple Heart.
  He was a member of Edinburgh First
Christian Church and Edinburgh
American Legion Post 233 and a life
member of Edinburgh VFW.  He was
also a member of Edinburgh Masonic
Lodge 100, Indianapolis Valley
Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine,
Johnson County Shrine Club and
Columbus Moose Lodge.  He was also
an official for IHSAA baseball and
football.
  The Rev. Steve DeFields-Gambrel
will conduct a service at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home in Edinburgh.  Graveside
military rites will be conducted by
members of Edinburgh American
Legion 233 and VFW.  Friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home.  Burial will be Rest
Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

EDINBURGH - Arvin E. Graham, 78,
of Edinburgh died at 7:40 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at
Todd-Aikens Health Center in
Franklin.
  Mr. Graham was a conductor for
Conrail for 32 years.  He also was
an official for ISHAA baseball and
football games.
  He was an Army veteran of World War
II and was the recipient of the
Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
  He was a member of Edinburgh First
Christian Church, American Legion,
Veterans of Foreign Wars and
Masonic Lodge, Johnson County
Shrine Club and Indianapolis Valley
of the Scottish Rite.
  The funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home with the Rev. Steve
DeFields-Gambrel officiating. 
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Friday.  Burial will be at Rest
Haven Cemetery with military
graveside rites by members of the
American Legion and VFW.
  Mr. Graham was born in Edinburgh,
July 7, 1922, the son of William
Thomas and Maudie Bueche Graham. 
He married Wanda Brownfield Dec.
15, 1947.  She died July 28, 1987.
  He is survived by a son, Danny L.
Graham of Greencastle; grandsons,
Scott and Matthew Graham of
Greencastle; and brothers, Orville
M. Graham of Edinburgh and Roy
Donald Graham of Franklin.
  He was preceded in death by a
brother, William Thomas Graham Jr.

ARVIN E. GRAHAM, 78, Edinburgh,
died Dec. 12.  He had been a
conductor for Conrail.  Previously,
he worked for Penn Central and
Pennsylvania railroads.  He was
also a high school baseball and
football official.  Mr. Graham was
a member of First Christian Church,
the American Legion and Veterans of
Foreign Wars, all in Edinburgh.  He
was an Army veteran of World War
II, receiving a Bronze Star and a
Purple Heart.  Services: 10 a.m.
Dec. 16 in Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home, Edinburgh, with calling from
4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 15.  Burial: Rest
Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.  He was
the widower of Wanda Brownfield.
