Ethel Gourley
The Rev. Hugh Owen conducted
funeral services Sunday at Eskew
Funeral Home for Ida Ethel Gourley,
93, who died Friday at 3:05 a.m. at
her home at 507 South Pleasant Street.
Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Gourley was born October
25, 1896 [sic 1886], in Johnson
County to Frank and Martha Weddle
Cordray. She was married to the late
Christopher C. (Pete) Gourley.
Survivors include a sister, Mattie
Everroad of Edinburgh, five grandchildren,
15 great-grandchildren and two great-
great-grandchildren. Preceding her in
death besides her husband were her
two sons, Raymond and Paul, two
brothers and a sister.
She was a longtime member
of the Edinburgh Christian Church.
