Dies at Home

EDINBURG, Sept. 2—Funeral ser­vices will be conducted at the Christian church Monday morning at 10 o’clock for Mrs. Anna Goetz, age 90.

The Rev. C.T. Herod, pastor of the church, will be in charge of the service and burial will take place in Rest Haven cemetery.

Mrs. Goetz died in the Johnson County nursing home at Franklin Friday evening at 7:30 o’clock. A short time ago she suffered an attack of pneumonia and was taken to Memorial Hospital and then re­turned to the nursing home.

Lived Near Columbus

Born in Bartholomew county Nov. 13, 1859, she was the daughter of Noah and Mary Wright Bisel and spent most of her life southwest of Columbus. For a while she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Etta Henry, of Edinburg.

On Aug. 13, 1891, she was mar­ried to Jacob Goetz and four children were born to the couple. One son, Carl Goetz, preceded his mother in death. Mr. Goetz died March 15, ’15 [sic-correct date is 1933].

Surviving with Mrs. Henry is an­other daughter, Mrs. Blanche Henry, of Ogleville; and one son, Floyd Goetz, of Columbus.
