Funeral to be Thursday

EDINBURG, Feb. 15.—Adam Goetz, 89, a native of Germany, passed away Monday evening at 7:15 o’clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Webb Snyder, on Kyle street. Mr. Goetz had been in ill health since the first of the year and had been seriously ill since February 4.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Edinburg Methodist church. The burial will be made in Rest Haven cemetery.
Mr. Goetz was born in Hess Darmstadt, Germany, December 15, 1848. He came to this country at the age of 15 and lived with his brothers here until his marriage to Elizabeth Stillabower, Jan. 15, 1874. To this union six children were born, three of whom preceded him in death. Mrs. Goetz died March 23, 1925.
Surviving him are three children, Mrs. Webb Snyder and Mrs. Katie Goetz, of Edinburg, and Louis Goetz of the Kansas community; two grandchildren, Mrs. Serona Lovelace, and Mrs. Donald Zeigler, and one great-grandchild, Richard Lee Lovelace.
Mr. Goetz was a member of the Ohio Ridge Lutheran church since early manhood and attended the Edinburg Methodist church when his health permitted.
