      EDINBURGH -- Mabel F. Gardner, 94, of Franklin, died at 2:15 a.m.
Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Homeview Nursing Home there.
      A member of Edinburgh First Christian Church, Mrs. Gardner had worked at
Reliance Mfg., Amos-Hill Veneer and David R. Webb Co.  She was a longtime
Edinburgh resident.
      A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Rest Haven Cemetery with
the Rev. James Keith officiating.  There will be no calling.
      Memorials may be made to Edinburgh Fire & Rescue, Box 55, Edinburgh, IN
46124.
      Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home.
      Mrs. Gardner was born in Taylorsville Oct. 3, 1906, the daughter of Noah
and Emma McClure Fisher.  She was the widow of Cleve Gardner who died in
1963.
      Surviving are daughters, Norma Sadler and Joan Pruitt, both of Edinburgh;
a brother, James Fisher of Shelbyville; nine grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
      She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Bozell; a daughter, Nelda
Speas; brothers, Bill, Paul, Wayne, and Kenneth Fisher; sisters, Mary
Jones and Frances Fisher; and a stepson, Harold Gardner.

Mable F. Gardner 
      Mable F. Gardner, 94, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001, at Homeview Nursing
Home in Franklin.  She was a resident of Franklin. 
      She was born Oct. 3, 1906, in Taylorsville.  Her parents were Noah and
Emma (McClure) Fisher.  She married Cleve Gardner.  He preceded her in
death in 1963.  Survivors include two daughters, Norma Sadler and Joan
Pruitt, both of Edinburgh; a brother, James Fisher of Shelbyville; nine
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Bozell; a daughter, Nelda
Speas; four brothers, Bill, Paul, Wayne and Kenneth Fisher; two sisters,
Mary Jones and Frances Fisher; and a stepson, Harold Gardner. 
      She was employed by Reliance Manufacturing and by Amos-Hill Veneer and
David R. Webb, both in Edinburgh. 
      She was a member of Edinburgh First Christian Church. 
      The Rev. James Keith will conduct a graveside service at 5:30 p.m. today
at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
