FRANCIS GALLAGHER, HUSBAND OF EDINBURGH WOMAN DIES
      Francis V. Gallagher, 71, of Franklin, husband of the former Jennie
Simpson of Edinburgh, died Monday of last week at Johnson County Memorial
Hospital.
      Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Vandivier-Tudor
Funeral Home in Franklin.  Funeral Mass was at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St.
Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in
Franklin.
      A State Farm Insurance Agent for 37 years, Gallagher was born Feb. 14,
1908, in Johnson County the son of Frank and Anna Kelley Gallagher.
      He was graduated from Clark High School and Franklin College where he was
affiliated with Kappa Delta Rho fraternity.  He retired from the insurance
business in 1973.  He was a member of the Underwriter’s Association,
Hillview Country Club, and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
      Other survivors with the widow whom he married Dec. 26, 1938, are two
sons, Stephen Michael Gallagher of West Point, N.Y., and Pat Oliver
Gallagher of Lima, Ohio; four brothers, James Gallagher of Columbus, Carl
Gallagher of Franklin, Victor Gallagher of Shelbyville, and John Gallagher
of San Francisco, Calif; three sisters Marguerite Magill of Franklin,
Alice Runnebohm of Shelbyville and Bernice Bullett of Greene, N.Y., and
three grandchildren.
      He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Gallagher, and a sister, Teresa
DeHart.
