Died, at her home, north of Pisgah, last Thursday, Aunt Barbara, wife of Porter J. Foxworthy at the ripe old age of 72 years. By her death the vicinity loses a pioneer citizen; the church a charter member; the husband a loving wife and the children an affectionate mother. Her funeral was preached at the Christian church last Friday evening by Elder Mathis, after which her remains were interred in the Freeman cemetery to await the great resurrection morn.

The 1870 US Federal Census for Blue River, Johnson County, Indiana records fifty-year-old, Kentucky-born Porter Foxworthy, his forty-nine-year-old, Kentucky-born wife Barbara Foxworthy and their Indiana-born children, sixteen-year-old John, fourteen-year-old William, nine -year-old Louisa, six-year-old David and two-year-old Charles M.
