Mrs. Elizabeth Flemming [sic], an estimable lady of this city, died at her home on Monday morning at 3:45 o’clock after a lingering illness of bowel trouble, aged 74 years. She was the mother of four children, three of whom are living and reside in this city—James and Henry Flemming [sic] and Mrs. Reece Dunn. Deceased was a true Christian lady and she will be sadly missed by her large circle of friends. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Christian church and was very largely attended, the discourse being delivered by Rev. W. McColley. The remains were interred in Greenlawn cemetery.
