Silas Fitzpatrick
Silas Edward Fitzpatrick, 80, who died at the county hospital on Friday morning of last week, was laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery on Monday following funeral services conducted from the Vandivier mortuary in Franklin at 10 a.m. Born in the Community neighborhood on December 27, 1867, the deceased was the son of Robert and Mary Smiley Fitzpatrick. Mr. Fitzpatrick was preceded in death by his wife, the former Columbia Widener, whom he married in 1893. He was a member of the Community Congregational church. His three children, Charles R. Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Ethel Covert and Meak Fitzpatrick, all of the Community neighborhood, survive along with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
