John Ennis’ little child died with whooping cough last Tuesday.

Ennis died at about 4 o’clock a. m. on 14 Aug 1900 in Union Township, Johnson County from brain fever of three days’ duration, caused by pertussis of fourteen days’ duration, aged one year, five months and seven days. He was male, white and single, born in Johnson County, Indiana. His father’s name was John Ennis and his mother’s maiden name Effa Flake, both born in Morgan County, Indiana. The informant was W. Flake. Clarence was buried in the Flake Cemetery [Morgan County] on 15 Aug 1900, Covert & Covert, undertaker.
