Whitfield Elliott [sic], formerly a resident of Union township, this county, died at Irvington Sunday morning. Mr. Elliott suffered a stroke of paralysis some two years ago and has been in very poor health since, and his death is due to this cause. The remains were brought to this city Monday morning, and taken to Shiloh, where the funeral was held the same evening. Mr. Elliott was held in high esteem by all who knew him.
