Mrs. Susan Eddy.
Mrs. Susan Eddy died Monday night at her home on West Jefferson street. She had been an invalid for twelve years; her condition being the result of a paralytic stroke.
The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. This. Cooks assisted by Rev. L. P. Marshall.
Mrs. Eddy was on of the old and honored citizens of the county. During the many years spent here she was loved and respected. She led a Christian life and had been a member of the local Methodist church since its organization. She was a native of Virginia and was born in 1823. Her Marriage to Gibeon Eddy occurred in 1839 and after a ten years residence in Cincinnati and Kentucky they came to this county. The husband died in 1859. Of their five children born to them, one is dead; John was killed in the war. Of the other four, Elijah lives in Indianapolis, and Rufus, Mrs. Huston and Mrs. Julia Dunlap in this city.

Death of Mrs. Eddy.
Mrs. Susan Eddy, widow of Gideon Eddy, died at her home on West Jefferson Street, this city, at eleven o’clock Monday night, aged 74 years.
Some twelve years ago, Mrs. Eddy suffered a stroke of paralysis, since which time she has been in poor health. Deceased was born in Virginia, but came to this county in 1849, most of which time since she has spent in this city.
The funeral occurred Wednesday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. Thos. G. Cocks.
