Evelyn C. Eastburn
Evelyn C. Eastburn, 86, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born July 1, 1917, in Johnson County. Her parents were Woollen and Pauline(Fendley) Newhouse. She married William J. Eastburn on Aug. 3, 1935, at the Rocklane Christian Church parsonage. He preceded her in death April 23, 1999. Survivors include two sohs; Ronald L. and Stephen M. Eastburn, both of Greenwood; a daughter, Marilyn A. Richey of Carmel; two brothers, Hugh Newhouse of Whiteland and Warren Newhouse of Greenwood; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a 1935 graduate of Clark Township High School.
She was a homemaker and farmed with her late husband in Clark Township.
She was a member of Rocklane Christian Church.
The Rev. Rob Keaton will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Rocklane Cemetery.
