Death of Mrs. Dunlap.
Mrs. Isabell Dunlap, wife of W. L. Dunlap, died at 10:50 o’clock last Friday morning at the home of her parents, Thomas Reeves and wife, of Indianapolis. On January 11, Mrs. Dunlap was taken sick with catarrh of the stomach and from that date had gradually grown worse.
When a resident of Indianapolis, Dr. Hayes of that city had taken her through a dangerous spell of sickness, and about three weeks ago she decided to go to her parents, where she could receive the attention of her former physician. However, her health had been so impaired as to be beyond all medical aid. Her suffering was intense, but borne with remarkable patience. For six weeks prior to her death she had been unable to take any food.
Mrs. Dunlap was a member of the Presbyterian church, always taking an active part in all missionary work and in whatever line her church duties called her. She was a member of the Ladies Musicale and the Charlotte Emerson club.
The remains were brought to Franklin Saturday morning. Funeral services were held Sunday morning at 9:00 o’clock from the residence, conducted by Rev. L. P. Marshall. Burial at Greenlawn.
Deceased was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, August 31, 1847. She moved to Richmond, where she was married to W. L. Dunlap in 1868.
Besides the husband, two children survive her, viz: Mrs. Belle Shopbell of Evansville, and Louis Dunlap of this city.
