James Dresslar and wife and Wm. Boaz and wife got word last week on Wednesday that their father, Jacob Dresslar, was not expected to live. When they got there at 10 o’clock that night their father had died nearly an hour before.

Jacob Dresslar, 65 years old, was buried at Salem cemetery last Thursday. Mr. Dresslar had been in delicate health for several years, but was only seriously ill a few days before his death. With the exception of a few years he had spent his entire life in this community. He had always lived an honorable and upright life. His enemies were few and his friends were many, which was clearly established by the unusually large concourse of people that attended his funeral. Mr. Dresslar was a very devoted man to his family and his friends and by his death the community loses one of its best citizens.
