TRAFALGAR, Aug. 14.—Samuel Denton, age 59, died Monday afternoon about 4 o’clock at the St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He had been ill for the past two months and was taken to the hospital last Saturday when his illness became critical.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Trafalgar Christian church. Burial will be made in the First Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
Mr. Denton was one of the prominent residents of Trafalgar. For a number of years he had been the manager of the Suckow elevator at Trafalgar. He was born in Tennessee, coming to Johnson County with his parents and had spent the greater part of his life in Johnson County.
He was united in marriage to Miss Dosia Anderson, who survives. Three children born to this union also survive. They are Joseph Denton of Indianapolis, Mrs. Melba Sifford of Trafalgar and Mrs. Robert Handley of near Franklin.
Mr. Denton was a member of the Trafalgar Christian Church and the I. O. O. F. lodge. At the time of his death, he was president of the Trafalgar Civic club.
