Little John, the two year old son of Jesse Y. and Margaret A. Demaree, died on Saturday afternoon at 1:40 o’clock, October 19th, of diphtheria. The funeral took place at Shiloh church on Sunday following at 3 o’clock p.m. The funeral discourse was preached by Rev. Dr. Pugh of Hopewell to a very large number of relatives and friends. The Dr’s remarks were appropriate and touching. At the close of the services the body of little John was laid in its last resting place to be called forth on the resurrection day.
