HERMAN DEHART
Herman G. DeHart, 64, R.R. 1, Morgantown, died Sunday at 1:15 a.m. in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been critically ill for five weeks. He was admitted to Johnson County Hospital and was transferred to Methodist Hospital on Nov. 21.
He was born in Johnson County on Jan. 11, 1905 the son of George and Nettie (Jenkins) Dehart. On June 10, 1925 he married Mary Teresa Gallagher and she died April 5, 1969.
Survivors include seven children, Russell, Greenwood, Mrs. Richard (Rosemary) Sanders, Bargersville, George, San Diego, Calif., Joseph, Trafalgar, Donald, Franklin, Herman, Acton, and John, Morgantown; 15 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Florence Hand, Edinburg, and Mrs. Edell Pritchard, Acton.
Mr. DeHart as a small child resided for a short time in Marion County and spent the remainder of his life as a farmer in Johnson County. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and attended school in Edinburg and Acton.
Service will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima with Father James Bryne officiating. Burial will be Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Vandivier Parsley Funeral Home at any time until time of the service.
