Ella C. Weldon
daughter of George W. and Francis J. Weldon, was born in Johnson Co., Ind., Feb. 25, 1864, and departed this life, Nov. 23, 1917.
In 1865 she came with her parents to Boone Co., Ind. She was married to William H. Dean on Sept. 11, 1884. To this union were born nine children, eight of whom still survive—Ada T., Evert O., Dessie N., Virgil and Vesta (twins), Vonie, Stella and LaVerne W.—all at home except Ada who was married to Rush Voorhis January 10, 1902.
After her marriage to William Dean she lived in and near Advance, Indiana until September, 1911 when they moved to Evart, Mich. In March, 1915, they came to Stockbridge, where she lived until death claimed her.
In early girlhood she united with the Christian church and lived a constant christian life all those years and made hosts of friends. When she moved to Michigan she with her family affiliated with the M. E. church and made many friends.
She was sick but a few hours. Her life was an open book that any family could be proud of. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, eight children, one grandchild, an aged mother, two sisters, three brothers and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held from the house Monday, Rev. G. Hill officiating, interment in Oak Lawn cemetery.
