O. P. Darling, of Trafalgar, died Thursday at his home as the result of an operation performed Tuesday for gravel. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon under the direction of the I. O. O. F. of Morgantown.

Note: Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Hensley Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, page 56 records that Oliver Perry Darling died at about 10 o’clock a. m. on 21 Jun 1900 in Trafalgar, Indiana from heart failure of six minutes’ duration, caused by septicemia of thirty-six hours’ duration, contributory cause gunshot wound and operation for bladder stones, aged sixty-six years, eleven months and fourteen days. He was male, white, married, no occupation recorded, born in New York. His father’s name was Jno. Darling, born in Vermont, and his mother’s name Concurence Bradford, born in Connecticut. The informant was Mollie Darling. Oliver was buried in Morgantown, Indiana on 24 Jun 1900, Forsyth & Richardson, undertaker.
