NELLIE ABBETT CROSBY Nellie Abbett Crosby, 88, Franklin, formerly of Edin- burgh, died Aug. 12. She was a homemaker. Services: 10:30 a.m. Aug. 15 in Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 14. Burial: Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. She was the widow of Clarence Crosby. Nellie Crosby Franklin EDINBURGH — Nellie Crosby, 88, of Franklin, formerly of Edinburgh, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at ExtendaCare in Franklin. Mrs. Crosby was a homemaker and attended Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. Funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Mrs. Crosby was born in Johnson County May 7, 1912, the daughter of John and Clara Jane Scott Abbett. She married Clarence Crosby Oct. 23, 1943. He died Oct. 13, 1970. Survivors include daughters, Shirley Bryant of Edinburgh and Linda Heck of Sweetwater, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Viola Burton of Seymour, Marie Burton of Edinburgh and Thelma Bennett of Westport; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
