Edinburg, March 29 — William Coy, 79, former resident of the area southeast of here taken for Camp Atterbury, died suddenly Sunday noon at his home 607 South Kyle street.

Mr. Coy was born Dec. [2]7, 1863, the son of Mathew and Rebecca Poe Coy. He married Miss Ida Mae Wray, August 18, 1889. Five children were born to this union, one dying in infancy. He was a member of the New Bethel church and the Knights of Pythias lodge.

Friends may call at the home any­time after Monday evening and services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 o’clock at the Edinburg Methodist church with burial in Rest Haven cemetery.

He is survived by the widow and four children. Eldon and Milo Coy of Edinburg, Clarence Coy of Col­umbus, and Mrs. Gladys Rairdon of Franklin. Two brothers, John Coy of Needham, and Ira Coy of Edinburg, and one sister, Mrs. L.A. Wirey of Franklin, and ten grand­children also survive.

Atterbury Area Expires at Edinburg

Edinburg, March 29 — William Coy, 79, retired farmer and former resident of the Bartholomew county area now occupied by Camp Atter­bury, died unexpectedly at 12:15 o’clock Sunday afternoon at his home, 607 South Kyle street, Edinburg.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, at Edinburg Methodist church. The services will be conducted by the Rev. Ray Bozell and burial will be made in Rest Haven cemetery.

Mr. Coy was born Dec. 27, 1863, in Shelby county, the son of Matthew and Rebecca Poe Coy. He married Miss Ida May Wray in August, 1889. He was a member of the New Bethel church and the Knights of Pythias lodge.

Five children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Coy, one son having preceded his father in death.

Surviving are the widow; three sons, Eldon and Milo Coy of Edinburg and Clarence Coy of Columbus; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Rairdon of Edinburg; two brothers, John Coy of Needham and Ira Coy of Edinburg; one sister, Mrs. Sadie Wirey of Franklin, and ten grand­children.

William Coy Died Sunday

William Coy, age 79, died suddenly at his home, 607 south Kyle street, at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. He had been in ill health for the past four years.

Funeral rites will be held from the Edinburg Methodist church at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Interment, Rest Haven Cemetery. The remains were taken to the home from the Mutz Funeral Chapel this afternoon where friends may call.

Surviving are the wife; three sons, Eldon and Milo Coy of Edinburg and Clarence of Columbus; one daughter Mrs. Gladys Rairdon of Edinburg; two brothers, Ira of Edinburg and John of Needham; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Wirey of Franklin; ten grand­children and others.

The deceased was born December 27, 1863 the son of Matthew and Rebecca Poe Coy and was married to Ida Mae Wray in August 1889.

He was a member of the New Bethel church and the Knights of Pythias lodge, Shelby­ville.
