For Edinburg Man
¶Edinburg, April 2 —Francis M. Coy, one of Edinburg’s oldest citizens, passed away Monday evening at 5:10 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Garrison, on South Walnut Street, after an extended illness. He would have been 90 years old had he lived until April 16.
The deceased had cared for many lawns during the past several years, and only last summer, after an illness, he borrowed a lawn mower and attempted to cut the grass in the town park.
He was preceded in death by his wife, who died June 26, 1891. He is survived by the daughter, with whom he had made his home since the death of his wife; two grandchildren, Merle Garrison of Edinburg and Emory Garrison of Franklin, and two great grandchildren, Betty and Bobby Garrison.
Friends may call at the Farr & Gosney chapel this evening from 7 to 9 o’clock and at the home Wednesday morning, after 9 o’clock until time for the services, which will be held Wednesday afternoon at the New Bethel Church at 2:30. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
