Dallas Floyd Coy Retired farmer Franklin Dallas Floyd Coy, 85, a resident of the Franklin United Methodist Home since October 1982, died Monday at the Home's health care center. Born July 1, 1900, in Bartholomew County, he was the son of S.W. and Emma Elizabeth (Barnhill) Coy. He married Ruth Marie (Johnson) May 2, 1928. She preceded him in death March 10, 1984. He moved from Camp Atterbury in the 1940s, and was a Whiteland area farmer 20 years. He was a member of Honey Creek United Methodist Church and its Co-Workers Class, and of Johnson County Farm Bureau. A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. David Powell and Dr. Ted Murphy will officiate. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Survivors include one sister, Reba Boll of Franklin, three nephews and one niece. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Coy and Aubrey Coy. Memorial contributions may be made to the Honey Creek United Methodist Church memorial fund.

Farmer DALLAS FLOYD COY FRANKLIN FRANKLIN -- Dallas Floyd Coy, 85, a resident of Franklin United Methodist Home since 1982, died Monday at the home’s health care center where he had been a patient one year. Coy was a retired farmer in the White- land area. He was a member of Honey Creek United Methodist Church and its Co-workers class and of Johnson County Farm Bureau. Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. David Powell and Dr. Ted Murphy at 2 p.m. Thursday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin where calling hours will be after 4 p.m Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Coy was born July 1, 1900, in Bartho- lomew County, the son of S.W. and Emma Elizabeth Barnhill Coy. He married Ruth Marie Johnson May 2, 1928, and she died March 10, 1984. Survivors include a sister, Reba Boll of the Methodist Home in Franklin; three nephews, Wayne Coy of Columbus, Delorse Coy of Akron, Ohio, and Donald Coy of Rushville; and a niece, Louise Angle of Rushville.
