Josephine S. Cox
      Josephine S. Cox, 91, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Johnson Memorial
Hospital.  She was a resident of Franklin.
      She was born May 1, 1911, in Edinburgh, Johnson County, Indiana.  Her
parents were Elmer and Stella (Miller) Freese.  Survivors include a
daughter, Mary Jane Neville of Edinburgh; a brother, Louis Freese of
Indianapolis; two sisters, Irene Howard of Westport and Rosemary Savels of
Mineral Springs; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
      She graduated from Edinburgh High School and Columbus Business College.
      She was employed by Civil Service for 35 years.
      She was a member of Order of Eastern Star Franklin Chapter 439.
      The Rev. Cleon Wright will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kresge
Chapel at the Indiana Masonic Home.  Friends may call from 1 p.m. until
time of service Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery in Edinburgh.  Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is
handling arrangements.
