OBITUARY.

Jacob S. Commingore [sic] the sub­ject of this sketch was born in Mercer County, Ky., September 3, 1818. He with his parents moved to this state in the year 1833. He settled on a farm one mile and a half southwest of Green­wood. He was married to Miss Eliza Brewer October 8, 1835. United with the Presbyterian Church in 1836. His wife died in 1865. To this union there was one son, who soon followed his mother. On June 6th, 1867, he was again married to Mrs. Charlotte Arm­strong, whom he leaves with one daughter to mourn his loss. In the year of 1870 he sold his farm and with his wife removed to Tennessee where he went into the mercantile business, and being dissatisfied there he sold out his store and again removed back to this state. He settled on a farm about three miles southeast of Greenwood, in Clark township. He served one term as county commissioner. In 1889 he moved to Greenwood where he lived until the time of his death. His funeral was preached at the M. E. church to a large concourse of friends and relatives.

Whereas, it has pleased the Almighty Ruler of the Divine Universe to remove from our midst Brother Jacob S. Com­ingore [sic], be it

Resolved, That we the officers and members of Greenwood Lodge No. 3728, F. M. B. A., tender our heartfelt sympathy to Sister Comingore [sic] in this sad hour of her bereavement, be it,

Resolved, In the death of Brother Comingore [sic] the lodge loses a earnest and faithful member. A good citizen and church member and one who was always ready and willing to give and help. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and be it

Resolved, In the death of Brother Comingore [sic], his wife will miss him from home, the fireside and the table, There will be to them who weep one vacant chair, and we now reccommend [sic] Sister Comingore [sic] to the care and mercy of God and be it

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the Records of our lodge, and a copy furnished to the family and to each of the county papers for publication.
