DONALD COLLIER

EDINBURG — After an illness of some duration, Donald Collier, World War II veteran died Sunday afternoon at 5 o’clock in the Veterans Admin­istration Hospital at Indianapolis.

Funeral services have been planned for Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock in the Mutz Funeral Home with burial taking place in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home at any time after 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon and until time for the services, to which they are invited.

Mr. Collier was the son of the late Isaac and Flora Pierce Collier and was born at Nineveh on Dec. 4, 1911. He resided at 728 East Walnut Street.

He and the former Rosie Smith were married on July 28, 1939 and two children were born to them.

A resident of this area his entire life, Mr. Collier was a member of the Nineveh Christina Church. He served with the Armed Forces during World War II.

Those who survive with the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Catherine Denton, of Edinburg; a son, Donald E. Collier, of Colum­bus; and three step-daughters, Mrs. Thelma Bennett, of Westport; Mrs. Marie Burton, of Edinburgh; and Mrs. Viola Burton, of Scipio.
