Walter L. Coffman Walter L. Coffman, 61, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was a resident of Edinburgh. He was born June 17, 1939, in Columbus. His parents were Walter Edward and Alice Pauletta (Walden) Coffman. He married Judy E. Hinton on June 22, 1963. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Jeffery L. Coffman of Edinburgh and John A. Coffman of Columbus; a daughter, Jody M. Coffman of Colum- bus; a brother, Steve Coffman of Columbus; two sisters, Mary- beth Coffman of Columbus and Kim Phillips of Attica; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Patrick Coffman. He was a small-engine repairman. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gas City. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, serving from 1960 to 1980. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Small-engine repairman Walter L. Coffman Edinburgh Walter Larry Coffman, 61, of Edinburgh died at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1980 and also had been a small-engine repairman. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gas City. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Norman Funeral Home at Hope. Calling will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday. Burial will be at Hope Moravian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Asso- ciation. Born in Columbus June 17, 1939, Mr. Coffman was the son of the late Walter Edward and Alice Pauletta Walden Coffman. He married Judy E. Hinton June 22, 1963. She survives. Also surviving are children, Jeffery L. Coffman of Edinburgh and John A. and Jody M. Coffman, both of Columbus; a brother, Steve Coffman of Columbus; sisters, Marybeth Coffman of Columbus and Kim Phillips of Attica; and a granddaughter, Selena Garrity of Columbus. He was preceded in death by brothers, George and Patrick Coffman.
