¶Edinburgh, Feb. 12—Mrs. Sarah Catherine Coffman, 82, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 2:45 o’clock at her home in Nineveh.

She was born in Indiana, May 25, 1859, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Daum Goetz. She married John Coffman, January 13, 1878, and twelve children were born of the union. Two children died in infancy. The husband preceded her in death on July 1, 1923. She was loved by all who knew her and counted her friends by the hundreds.

Surviving are seven daughters and three sons, Mrs. Louise Chandler, George Coffman, and Mrs. Orville McQuinn of Franklin; Mrs. Walter Parsley, Mrs. William Barker and Mrs. Claude Short of Franklin rural route; Charles Coffman of Trafalgar rural route; Mrs. Roy Barker of Marshall; Isaac Coffman of Southport and Mrs. Walter Cobb of Nineveh; 26 grandchildren, including Helen Coffman Long, who has made her home since infancy with the de­ceased; 36 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Goetz of Trafalgar rural route; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Stillabower of Nineveh and Mrs. Charles Wirey of Franklin.

The remains will be returned to the late home from the Farr & Gosney Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 o’clock Thursday evening until time for the services, which will be held at the Nineveh Christian Church Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The services will be in charge of the Rev. G. F. Powers, assisted by the Rev. G. J. Pickett. Interment will be made at the church cemetery.
