Lloyd Coffman, age 27, died Sa­turday morning at 10 o’clock at his home on the corner of West King and Jackson streets. He had been ill for the past two years and in a serious condition for several weeks.

Pending the arrival of relatives funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Mr. Coffman was born Aug. 23, 1908, near Nineveh the son of Jacob and Stella Tearman Coffman. He received his education in the Nineveh and Hopewell schools. He was a member of the Nineveh Christian church.

On Jan. 11, 1929 he was united in marriage to Miss Dorothy Childs, of Franklin, who survives.

Two children were born to this union both of whom preceded their father in death. Lloyd, Jr., died three years ago in March and Jimmie passed away two years ago in May. The death of his little sons was a severe blow to Mr. Coffman who was in failing health and following the death of Jimmie he gradually grew weaker until death resulted.

Of a pleasant cordial disposition Lloyd Coffman numbered his friends by the score in the community. He was industrious and continued his duties until failing health compelled him to discontinue his work.

Surviving with the wife are the father and mother and three brothers, Paul and Mark, of the Hopewell community, and Lawrence, of Frank­lin. Several nieces and nephews and other relatives survive.

Many Friends Attend Rites

Final rites for Lloyd Coffman were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Grace Methodist Church. The rites were attended by a large number of relatives and friends.

The Rev. George F. Powers, pastor of the Nineveh Christian Church that Mr. Coffman joined in young boyhood, conducted the services, assisted by the Rev. E. E. Aldrich, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church. There was no music.

The casket was carried by Mayor L. W. Oliver, Fred Mitchell, Harry McMillan, Harold McGinnis, Charlie Shine and Paul Kerlin.

The flowers were carried by Ruth Hardin, Thelma Shine, Pauline Dunlap, Elsie Mitchell, Beulah Simons, Lois McGinnis, Mildred Bridges, Julia Stark, Mrs. Harry McMillan, Ruth Hicks, Bernice Lit­tleton, Martha Murray, Goldie Tear­man, Pauline Curry, Ethel Forsythe, Phyllis Salmon and Mildred Harter.

Burial was in the family lot at Greenlawn Cemetery.

All of the funeral arrangements were made by Mr. Coffman, who had been ill for many months, and all of his wishes were carried out by his family.

LLOYD COFFMAN, who had been ill for nearly two years and whose condition had become serious during the past few weeks, died Saturday morning at his home.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon with the Rev. E. E. Aldrich in charge assisted by Rev. Powers of Nineveh. Burial was in Greenlawn.

The deceased was born August 23, 1908, near Nineveh. He was the son of Jacob and Stella Tearman Coffman and he had received his education in the schools at Nineveh and Hopewell.

He was married to Miss Dorothy Childs of Franklin on Jan. 11, 1929 and two children were born to this union. Each preceded the father in death.

Surviving with the wife are the father and mother and three brothers, Paul and Mark, of Hopewell com­munity and Lawrence, of Franklin. There are also a number of nieces and nephews.
