Date of birth: 12 October 1889 Johnson County, Indiana Date of death: 3 August 1975 Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana Franklin Daily Journal 4 August 1975 Mrs. Coffman, Methodist home resident, dies Mrs. Iona (Ealy) Coffman, an 85-year-old resident of the United Methodist Home at Franklin, died Sunday evening at the retirement home. She had been a resident there for about two years. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the United Methodist Home Chapel. Rev. James Ray will officiate. Friends may call at the memory room of the home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in Nineveh Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin. A life-long Johnson County resident, Mrs. Coffman was born Oct. 12, 1889, to Jacob and Etoile (Muck) Ealy. She was educated in Nineveh schools. She married Robert Coffman in 1909 and he died in 1965. Mrs. Coffman was a member of the Franklin First United Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Pi Beta Phi Mothers Club. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lewis Hiester of New York, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Coffman was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
