Coffman rites are Saturday
Charles W. Coffman, 89, Trafalgar route two, died about 1 p.m. Thursday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be in Nineveh Cemetery. Rev. Alfred Webb of Nineveh Christian Church, of which Coffman was a member, will officiate.
Coffman was born Feb. 22, 1884, in Bartholomew County to John and Sarah Geotz Coffman and attended Nineveh schools. He married the former Ethel Hague on Aug. 13, 1905, at Nineveh; she preceded him in death April 17, 1968. He was also preceded in death by a son.
Coffman was a 50-year member of the Trafalgar Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Coffman of Whiteland; a daughter, Catherine Opal Richard of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Cobb of Nineveh and Mrs. Claude Short of Franklin.
