Robert D. Carson

GREENWOOD – Robert D. Car­son, 67, of Greenwood, formerly of Bedford, died Friday at Community Hospital South.

Born Sept. 5, 1931, in Bedford, he was the son of Ethel Brinegar.

He worked at Citizens Gas and Coke Utility in Indianapolis for 37 years and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was presi­dent of the Greenwood Police Merit Board.

Survivors include his wife, Nellie Jo (Smith) Carson; one daughter, Karen Moore of Greenwood; one brother, Gene Brinegar of Evans­ville; and two sisters, Valeska Elrod of Bedford and Mary Buher of Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tues­day at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service in Greenwood with the Rev. James Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Mon­day at the funeral home.
