EDINBURG, July 20 — Mrs. Emma Campbell, of Edinburg, passed away at her home, 711 S. Walnut Street Friday morning at 8:30 o’clock following six years of illness.
Final rites will be conducted atthe Apostolic Tabernacle Church, Monday, July 23, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Grover Myers in charge. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Mutz Funeral Home in Edinburg from 7 to 9 Saturday and at the residence after 10 a.m. Sunday.
Born in Bartholomew County
Mrs. Campbell, the daughter of Samuel and Demma Wells Ashley, was born in Bartholomew County on March 15, 1898, and was married to Homer Campbell on April 21, 1917. She was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are the husband, Homer Campbell; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Burton, Mrs. Doris Dailey, and Mrs. Eva Campbell, of Edinburg; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meehan of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Goldie Reynolds of San Bernardino, Calif. and Lura Ashley of Madison.
Other survivors are a brother, Clarence Ashley of Edinburg, and nine grandchildren. Another daughter, Estalina McFarland, passed away in 1938.

Mrs. Esma Campbell died at 8:30 A.M. today at her home at 711 S. Walnut Street. She had been ill six years.
Funeral services at 2:00 P.M. Monday at the Apostolic Tabernacle here will be in charge of Reverend Grover Myers. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Mutz Funeral Home from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Saturday and at the residence after 11:00 A.M. Sunday.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Bartholomew County March 15, 1898. Her parents were Samuel and Demma Wells Ashley.
On April 21, 1917 she married Homer Campbell who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Alice Burton, Mrs. Doris Dailey and Mrs. Eva Campbell.
One daughter, Mrs. Estaline McFarland, died in 1938.
There are five grandchildren.
Three sisters and a brother are Mrs. Elizabeth Meehan of Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Goldie Reynolds of San Bernardino, California; Lura Ashley of Madison; and Clarence Ashley of Edinburg.

Mrs. Esma Campbell, 58, died at 8:30 o’clock this morning at her home, 711 South Walnut Street in Edinburg after a 6-year illness. Mrs. Campbell was born in Bartholomew County March 15, 1898, the daughter of Samuel and Demma Wells Ashley. She married Homer Campbell April 21, 1917.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Edinburg by the Rev. Grover Myers. The casket will be open at the Mutz Funeral Home between 7 and 9 o’clock Saturday night and after 10 o’clock Sunday morning at the residence.
Surviving with the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Alice Burton, Mrs. Doris Dailey, and Mrs. Eva Campbell, all of Edinburg; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meehan of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Goldie Reynolds of San Bernardino, Calif., and Miss Lura Ashley of Madison; a brother, Clarence Ashley of Edinburg; and five grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Estaline McFarland, died in 1938.
