Death of Mrs. Byfield.
Mrs. Nancy Byfield died at the home of Judge Woollen in this city, Friday evening, Oct. 23, at 7 o’clock.
Mrs. Byfield’s home was formerly in Madison [Jefferson County, Indiana] but for the last ten years had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Judge Woollen. She was born in the year 1824 and married Alfred Byfield, brother to county clerk Byfield. Death was due to heart trouble.
Interment was made in Greenlawn cemetery Sunday afternoon, where a brief service was conducted by Rev. L. P. Marshall. Funeral was conducted by E. G. Barnhizer with R. V. Ditmars, J. Ragsdale, Oren Dunn, Byron Jennings, E. Shaffer and E. L. Branigan as pall bearers.
