Former area resident Helen C. Luedeke Burgett died Saturday, June 12, 1999, at the Franklin United Methodist Community. She was 92.
Mrs. Burgett was born March 28, 1907, in Bellevue, Kentucky to Edward William and Mary Magdalena Grieser Luedeke.
She and Raymond L. Burgett were married June 21, 1947, in Bellevue, Kentucky. He died March 6, 1992.
Mrs. Burgett had received a degree in secretarial and business from the Miller School of Business in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1925.
She had worked as a secretary for Valvoline Oil Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Burgett was also a homemaker.
She had been a member of The United Church of Christ in Fort Thomas, Kentucky and the ladies sewing circle at the church.
Additionally, Mrs. Burgett had belonged to the Campbell County, Kentucky Homemakers.
She was a seamstress and enjoyed making all her own clothes.
Survivors include brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kenny Burgett and Mae Burgett, both of Bargersville and William and Clara Jane Douglass of Martinsville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Reverend Steve Fair conducted a service Tuesday morning, June 15, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erlanger, Kentucky.
