SERVICES SUNDAY
  FOR ROSS BUCK

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Chilton Bowles at the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home south chapel Sunday afternoon for Ross J. Buck of Edinburg who died Thursday afternoon at the Methodist hospital in In­dianapolis after a two years illness.

During the service, special music was sung by Oscar Mutz of Columbus accompanied by Mrs. B. G. Breeding, organist.

Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery with Lowell Bar­rett, Don Nay, James Breeding, Bruce Buck, James Rowland, and John Pruitt serving as pall­bearers.

Mr. Buck came to Edin­burg in 1941 as an engi­neer for the Charles Hurd and Son Engineering Com­pany when Camp Atterbury was surveyed. A 1907 gra­duate of Purdue Univer­sity, he was Columbus city engineer from 1956 to 1957. He had worked for several years in Mich­igan and was with the Federal Public Works administration from 1934 to 1939. He also super­vised the construction of the Music Hall at Purdue.

Born Oct. 2, 1887, in Michigan, he was the son of Willis and Ellen Brown Buck. He married Marie Breeding in 1961 and she survives.

Mr. Buck was a member of the Edinburg Presbyterian Church, the Masonic Lodge, and Knights Templar.

Surviving with his wife are one son, Ross W. Buck of Atlanta, Ga., two daugh­ters, Kathryn Prucher and Marjorie Rowland, both of Cali­fornia; one step-son, George Breeding of Acton; two step-daughters, Doro­thy Allen of Puerto Or­daz, Venezuela, and Fran­ces Etzel of Cincinnati, Ohio.
